At Azzopardi Gzira Fish Shop, an average day starts early with a trip to our local fish market, where we take great delight in hand picking the best fresh fish and shellfish for the day's business ahead.

Once we get back to our shop, the fish is hand filleted - a skill which unfortunately is on the decline! It is then prepared to our customers exacting requirements by our dedicated and friendly team

We know the name of the fishing boat and in many cases the skippers name too, where the vessel has been and for how long using our linked GPS with each of our boats. We know what was caught and when it was landed, we can also tell you who filleted and prepared your fish giving you complete tractability.

Our company was a leader in evolving the Maltese culture of eating fish. Fish was not seen as it is today: a healthy, delicious source of vitamins and nutrients. Instead, it was thought to be a cheap meal.

At Azzopardi Gzira Fish Shop, we offer delivery and pick-up of our products all over Malta, the cleaning and filleting of all fish, along with vacuum packing on ice packs for customers wishing to travel with fresh fish.

Many of our customers travel from all over the island to get a piece of our extensive range of fresh fish. Over the years, we have built up a great relationship with most of our customers, many of whom we now class as friends.
